Many believe that Fernando Alonso would have won more titles if he hadn’t made sometimes strange decisions about changing teams. The former owner of his own team, Eddie Jordan, believes that it’s all about the desire to make money.
Eddie Jordan «There is nothing to regret, looking back, but about the reasons for making these decisions, Fernando should ask himself and his manager Flavio Briatore, with whom he is now on excellent terms.
You have to understand that Alonso has always been chasing money. He chose teams that could pay more, not those with more title chances. He probably regrets it now, but he made money.
If he were sitting across from me right now, I would say, “Fernando, you made a mistake. You’re a great driver, two-time world champion, but deep down you know there could easily have been five or six titles.”
