F1 Village appears in the center of Barcelona

Next week, the Spanish Grand Prix will take place on the circuit of Barcelona for the 33rd time and to make the motorsport festival really big, the government of Catalonia and the city council are organizing a Formula 1 Village (“Formula 1 Village”) together with the circuit ) in the center of Barcelona.

It will be located in the port area, very close to the famous Rambla, where most tourists come, and will be in operation from May 26 to June 3. The aim of the village, which will be accessible to all, is to combine the Mediterranean culture, modernism and cosmopolitanism of the place with the Formula 1, adrenaline and excitement associated with the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya.

On the territory of the village there will be various types of attractions, simulators similar to those on which racers develop reactions, traditional competitions for the fastest pit stop, as well as races with miniature models of cars, the so-called “slot cars”. “, on toy tracks produced by the famous company Scalextric. In general, there will be many types of entertainment.

Of course there will also be a separate esports zone with simulators officially certified by Formula 1, there will even be a replica of the podium. And also the 2018 Williams FW41 car will be on public display – Lance Stroll and Sergey Sirotkin drove those cars that season.

Once the guests of the village have tried all the attractions, they can change the scene and listen to performances by musicians and DJs, as there will also be a varied cultural program.

For the younger crowd there is a separate playground where you can paint cardboard racing helmets, take part in pedal car races and play other games.

And it is already known that on Monday, May 29, Albert Fabrega, a popular Spanish pundit and commentator from the DAZN TV channel, will perform for the fans in F1 Village.
