Mercedes chief Wolff dismisses Hamilton switch to Ferrari as ‘rumor’

Head of Mercedes Toto Wolf denied reports that the team’s British rider Lewis Hamilton will go to “Ferrari” at the end of the season.

On Monday, the Daily Mail reported that Ferrari management had held talks with Hamilton over a $49 million deal.

– These rumors appear every two years, when we have to make a new deal. But all this is not true. We are discussing a new contract with Hamilton without any pressure, everything is fine.

It’s just frustrating that two friends who have been through so much for ten years suddenly have to discuss money. I am absolutely convinced that we will find a solution, I have no doubt. I can’t imagine Lewis leaving Mercedes. If we give him a competitive car, he will win for a long time, — quotes the words of Wolff Oe24.

Hamilton’s current contract with “Mercedes” calculated at the end of the current year. The Briton is a seven-time Formula 1 champion, having won six titles with the German team.
