The past Azerbaijan Grand Prix ended with a double retirement of the Ferrari drivers – Charles Leclerc stopped the fight due to a power plant failure and Carlos Sainz – due to a hydraulic failure. The Italian team’s press office said they had found a solution to the problem that had arisen with Carlos’ car.
“Charles’ engine will arrive at the base on Wednesday – a first evaluation will be completed by the evening,” Ferrari said in a statement. – The hydraulic components of Carlos Sainz’s car have already been checked. We’ve found a short-term fix to prevent the issue from reoccurring in Canada. The team is working on a solution that will prevent such disruptions in the medium/long term.
We continue to work with maximum motivation. We have high ambitions, but the goals have not changed. Such situations dampen both individual employees and the entire team.
