This weekend, Arthur and Charles Leclerc will perform together for the first time on the streets of their native Monaco – using a special helmet livery in memory of their father Hervé, who died in 2017 after a long illness.
Hervé Leclerc was a racing enthusiast who took part in karting and Formula 3 – and instilled this love in his sons.
Charles Leclerc: “This race week in Monaco is very special for us. My father was the first of the Leclercs to play in Monaco, I was the second and this year Arthur will be the third.
My father instilled in us a passion for racing. I’m sure he would be very proud to see us both racing in Monaco.”
Arthur Leclerc: “It is incredible to race in Monaco. Thursday morning I woke up early, put on my red jersey and left the house to go to the paddock.
As a child I saw others perform in Monaco and dreamed of one day getting behind the wheel myself. This is a special weekend for me.”
