PilotFerrari » Charles Leclerc will lose three places on the grid of the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix due to an incident with a driver”McLaren » Lando Norris according to the Royal Races website.

Leclerc in qualifying on Saturday showed the third time, Norris – 10th. The incident occurred in the third section of the tunnel.

— Leclerc completed his final lap and was in the turn 4-10 complex. Norris circled fast and passed Leclerc in the middle of the tunnel, where he was prevented. Both pilots agreed that there was little Leclerc could have done to avoid safely blocking Norris, given the difficulty in seeing due to the lights entering and exiting the tunnel and the changes in lane from side to side, according to the stewards’ report.

It should be noted that Leclerc could not have blocked Norris if the team had informed his driver in time by radio of the approach of the McLaren driver. The commissioners consider that the interference was unjustified, it could have been avoided.

The Monaco Grand Prix race will take place on Sunday and will start at 4:00 p.m. Moscow time.
