After a victorious double in Baku, Red Bull Racing is optimistic about the stage on another city circuit – in Canada…
Max Verstappen: “We haven’t been to Montreal in a long time, I’m happy to return to this unique track. It is interesting to see the condition of the asphalt there. I hope the car does well this weekend.
I always look forward to this Grand Prix. Montreal is a very beautiful city, last week we had a double win in Baku, it would be great to leave Canada with the same result. It’s nice to be in the lead in the individual standings and in the constructors’ championship, but the end of the season is still a long way off. We have to keep working and earn as many points as possible.”
Sergio Perez: “We are going to Canada at a great moment for the team. In Baku we had a great result and deserved a winning double. I was a little disappointed with the result, but if you’re disappointed that you finished second with the best lap of the race, that’s okay!
Our car is fast on street circuits, we are confident that we can perform well this weekend and maintain a positive trend. Together with the engineers I will analyze the race in Baku carefully to get the most out of this weekend.
I’m happy to be back in Canada, I love this track, it’s great to have a really competitive car this time around. I’m sure it will be fun!”
