Alfa Romeo expects to use the car in Barcelona next weekend to…
Alessandro Alunni Braviteam spokesperson: “We are looking forward to starting the weekend in Barcelona, at a familiar circuit, where we can get more out of the new products being introduced in Monaco.
We return to the circuit, where our C 43 made its debut four months ago as part of a shooting day. A lot has happened since then, the end of the season is still a long way off – everyone in the team, both at the base and in the races, is doing everything they can to keep the team going in all directions.
We didn’t score any points in Monaco, but we did well on track, in the pits and in the pit lane on Sunday. You have to keep attacking to take the next step and consistently earn points.”
Valttery Bottas: “I am very curious how we will perform in Barcelona. The configuration of the track has changed slightly, in training we will have to get used to it, as well as with the new products presented in Monaco.
We’ve done well in the principality. Winning back four places in Monaco is always difficult, even if it didn’t yield any points. But we aim for more and Barcelona could be the place where we can take a step in the right direction. Everyone in the team has confidence in their abilities, that’s how real team spirit should be.”
Guanyu Zhou: “We all know the Spanish track very well, so we can really appreciate the potential of the car. I love performing there and look forward to returning after a day of shooting for the start of the season.
The innovations we introduced in Monaco should be effective in Barcelona, so I hope for a successful weekend. The goal remains the same: qualify well and score points on Sunday.”
