Max Verstappen: “I am looking forward to returning to the circuit we all know so well. It will be interesting to see the new configuration of the last two corners.
I have great memories of this circuit, especially my first victory in Formula 1. Apart from the circuit, Barcelona is a beautiful city, I love this weekend. I hope it continues with good weather.”
Sergio Perez: “The stage in Monaco was a disaster for me. Everything that could go wrong. This weekend is to start over, to live up to the highest standards we have set. I want to reward the team for their hard work with a good result.
We know that we have the fastest car, that the track has to suit us, but for this I need a perfect weekend. To keep fighting Max for the title I need to be fast and consistent with a few wins. If I do everything right in Barcelona, victory is quite achievable – that will be my goal.
