Fernando Alonso: “I am still impressed by the great result in Monaco. But it’s time to shift the focus to my home race in Spain.

I look forward to meeting the Spanish spectators and all the Aston Martin fans who come to support our team. I hope to see a lot of green in the stands this weekend.

We’ve had a lot of third places this year, second place in Monaco, the next step is the win. To achieve this, we need to make the most of every session of the weekend, every opportunity that may arise. But I’m not obsessed with it, we’ll enjoy every moment.

We have a lot of experience on this circuit, but it is always a nice challenge. It will be interesting to race again without a chicane at the end of the lap, hopefully this will provide more overtaking opportunities.”

Lance walk: “It is great that after a difficult weekend in Monaco we can get back on track straight away. The circuit in Barcelona is very familiar to us, we spent a lot of time testing here.

I like performing here. After five stages on the street circuits, it is interesting to come to the stationary circuit, which will help us with the testing and development of the AMR23.

This stage is Fernando’s home stage, I’m sure we will see a lot of fans in green uniforms.”
