Charles Leclerc decided to help the people of Emilia-Romagna

Charles Leclerc, in collaboration with the RM Sotheby’s auction, decided to make a personal contribution to helping the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna hit by a natural disaster. The Ferrari racer is offering a helmet, overalls and other equipment he used at last weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix.

“After the recent tragedy in Emilia-Romagna in Italy due to flooding, I have decided to sell all my racing equipment that I used in my home Grand Prix, so it is special,” said Charles. “It rained during the race, so everything is still a bit muddy, and we organized an auction together with Sotheby’s.

There will be four lots: the gloves I wore during the race, the racing boots, of course also the jumpsuit complete with fire-resistant underwear, and finally my racing helmet.

I hope we manage to raise as much money as possible to help people in need. Thank you all for your support, see you soon!”

On the official website of the auction house, information appeared about this initiative of the racer from Monaco, named “Charles Leclerc for Emilia-Romagna”, and it is reported that all lots have his signatures.

The uniqueness of the Bell model HP77 helmet is also that the design was specially designed for this Grand Prix and is dedicated to Herve Leclerc, Charles’ late father. He was once the first member of the Leclerc family to race through the streets of Monte Carlo.

The proceeds of these four plots are transferred directly to the accounts of the municipality of Imola. Bidding begins online on 2 June at 10am London time and will run until 5pm on Tuesday 6 June.
