In qualifying we were clearly behind Ferrari and Aston Martin, and in some situations we were also behind Alpine. But in the race they were already quite comparable to Aston Martin in terms of pace.
I think our car will pass a good test this weekend, and I would like to think that in Barcelona we are able to get ahead of Ferrari and also try to overtake Fernando – he is certainly going very fast now. In general, we will try to close the gap with Red Bull and move to the second line of the team standings.
It was impossible to really assess the effectiveness of new products in Monaco, although there were no unpleasant surprises there either, which in itself is a positive moment. So a truly updated car is only now being tested.”
