Logan Sargent, an American Williams driver, thinks things will go a little easier for him on a circuit like Barcelona, as he knows it well from the youth series.
Logan Sargent: “I’m happy to be back in Europe on the tracks I know. Here it should be a little easier for me – not so much, but still easier. While it is likely that our team will have a difficult weekend, we will do everything in our power.
But on a track like the Catalan ring I will be able to attack more aggressively, get to the right level faster and prepare better for Saturday’s qualifying.
I like the track in Barcelona, I’ve raced here many times over the last few years, it suits my style of pilot very well, and I’ve won races and been on the podium there many times. Now we have to try to do better here and next weekend.
The final two corners in the updated track configuration look impressive. In my opinion they enhance the character of it, but going through them will put a lot of stress on the front and rear tires and on the race distance you have to be more careful with rubber. But I hope I can go full throttle through these corners in qualifying.
