After six races of the season, the Haas team is seventh in the Constructors’ Championship. Ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, Kevin Magnussen said he was pleased with the team’s competitiveness, but added that they could use luck to achieve more.
Kevin Magnussen: “Our form this season came as no surprise to us. Last year we reached a certain level and felt like we could stay there in 2023. A new title sponsor has joined us, the team is developing in the right direction.
As said, the results this year were no surprise, but we keep waiting for the perfect weekend, in which we not only get everything right ourselves, but also have luck on our side. In Miami we looked really good but nothing happened during the race, there weren’t even any yellow flags and I only finished tenth.
On the other hand, it’s nice that the car lets you finish in the top ten, not because of problems with rivals, but because of its own speed. We aim to keep that form, but it would be great if we had some luck on a weekend.”
