Stroll: I hope the handling of AMR23 will improve

Lance Stroll hopes he will be able to perform better in Barcelona than in Monaco, where he struggled on both Saturday and Sunday, leading him to withdraw from the Monaco Grand Prix. But he started with good news…

Lance Stroll: “A few days ago at Silverstone, the team moved to a new base, and this is very important news, so it’s going to be very good times for us. The infrastructure of the team will become much more modern, the basis for this has been laid for many years and this is a good opportunity for further progress.

A number of new products will also appear on our car this coming weekend, although we will find out tomorrow how they will show themselves. We hope that thanks to them we can improve and that the handling of the AMR23 will improve. The novelties are not that big, but they are important in their own way and I want to try them out on the track as soon as possible.

I don’t think I’m not very lucky this season, but anything can happen in the races and some weekends weren’t easy for us. In Jeddah I didn’t finish and in Monaco, during the second qualifying session, my car got damaged and we missed the chance to earn points on Sunday because on the city circuit a lot depends on Saturday’s results.

But that’s our business, and the weekends are different, but for the Spanish leg of the championship we are determined to show the highest possible result. Let’s see how it goes in Barcelona.”
