Charles Leclerc took his second win of the season by winning the Australian Grand Prix and spoke highly of the Ferrari car after the finish.
Charles Leclerc: “It was the first race where we were able to control the lead over the rivals, the car allowed it, because today it worked well. I did a pretty good job all weekend, but it wouldn’t have been possible without a car.
This weekend the race pace was very good, but we also worked very effectively with the rubber from the first to the last lap.
Admittedly, it wasn’t easy on the restart, especially on the last one, when there was very strong understeer in Turn 14 and I could barely maintain first position.
Obviously this is only the third race of the season and it is still too early to think about the championship. But we have a very good and reliable car and so far we have always managed to finish in the top three. Hopefully we can keep going like this, and if we can we might get a chance to fight for the title. When I think about it, I start to smile!”
