Fernando Alonso (2nd): “On the fast lap the results are so tight that a few tenths can drastically affect your place in qualifying, so we won’t think about time for now.
In the first practice session we worked with novelties and tested the new Pirelli tires – the track was a bit slower than we expected. The novelties allowed us to add a little bit as long as we are happy with it, but we’ll see what happens tomorrow when everyone will add speed.
On Friday many of the stands were painted in our team’s green colours, Aston Martin merchandise is very popular. It’s nice to feel that kind of support. I hope we can please our fans with a good result tomorrow.”
Lance walk (18th): “Friday we focused on testing new products and evaluating new Pirelli tires – the program proved to be intensive. We have collected a lot of data for further work, I hope it will help us to gain speed for qualifying.
