Alpine racers in Barcelona finished in the top ten with two cars, but only earned five points…
Esteban Ocon (8th): “We leave Barcelona with two cars and a sense of accomplishment. I finished eighth and I don’t think I could do better – compared to this weekend’s rivals we lacked speed.
We will think about how to improve, but overall we had a great Saturday and looked good on Sunday. We can be proud of the past two weeks, but we know we have to keep working to keep moving in the right direction.”
Pierre Gasley (10th): “Another double points finish, but we always aim for more. On the one hand, I am disappointed with the result after a good performance in qualifying, and also after we showed good race pace today, but penalties and a bad start had a negative impact on my race, we will analyze everything to understand how we can achieve more next time.
The car is OK, in three races in a row I have earned points. Now I’m looking forward to a short break so I can start in Canada in two weeks.”
