In Montreal, the streets are foggy, the sky is yellow. Rain is expected in the coming hours, which may improve the situation slightly, but after that the air quality may deteriorate again.
Stephane Perron, advisor to the GGD: “For people without health problems, there is no serious risk, but irritation of the eyes, nose or throat can occur. But those suffering from cardiovascular disease or asthma should be more careful, just like children and pregnant women.”
The organizers of the Canadian Grand Prix expect the situation to normalize before the start of the race weekend, so that spectators and participants are not affected by the consequences of forest fires.
