In an interview with Cadena Ser, Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz spoke about the balance of power…
Carlos Sainz: “Unfortunately this year we were not as fast as we had hoped. Red Bull dominates, but we have to improve. It is clear that it will be very difficult to overtake Red Bull this season, but this does not mean that Ferrari cannot do it. We will fight and try to win the race.
Red Bull has built a great car that is now the fastest, Mercedes seems to have found the right direction in terms of modernization and we are not yet where we want to be. But we are critical of our results and are working to improve. Our goal is to get the most out of the existing machine.
I think the track in Barcelona is the worst for Ferrari this year. It’s a pity we couldn’t achieve more in the home phase, but in Canada everything will be different – I’m going to Montreal for the podium.”
