In 2023, the McLaren team will celebrate the 60th anniversary of its founding by Bruce McLaren. As part of the anniversary events, McLaren will participate in the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will be held from 13 to 16 July.
Spectators see a collection of legendary McLaren race cars on the track, driven by leading racers. Two-time world champion Mika Häkkinen will drive the McLaren MP4/14A in which he won his second title in 1999.
Emerson Fittipaldi returns behind the wheel of his 1974 McLaren M23-05. Other former Formula 1 drivers, JJ Lehto and Emanuele Pirro, will drive the 2008 McLaren MP-23/23A-05 and McLaren MP4/2B-03 respectively. driving from 1985. Emma Gilmour, driving for the McLaren team in the electric Extreme E-series, will unveil a 1970 McLaren Can-Am M8D-0 at Goodwood.
