Aston Martin will bring new items to Montreal

The Canadian Grand Prix is home to Lance Stroll. The Aston Martin driver, like his teammate Fernando Alonso, is looking forward to a high-scoring weekend in Montreal thanks to the new products the team has prepared.

Lance walk: “I am very happy to be back in Montreal for my home race. I’m always happy to see the support of Canadian fans in the city where I was born. I have fond memories of the job. Especially the seventh finish and the points achieved last year are memorable for me.

Given how tight the competition has been in previous races, it will be interesting to see how track characteristics will affect the balance of power this weekend. The gaps are minimal, but we will attack as much as possible to please my home fans with a great show.”

Fernando Alonso: “We had an exciting double series of stages in Monaco and Spain, earning the team 32 points. The atmosphere in Spain was phenomenal, but we had a tough Saturday and Sunday we didn’t have enough pace to please the crowd with a great show.

The next stage will be held in Montreal on the historic Formula 1 circuit, of which I have many memories. For example, last year I started second after a chaotic wet qualifying. Rain may fall again this weekend, so we keep a close eye on the weather radar.

The track is interesting, although overtaking can be difficult. However, surprises are possible in this race, so we have to be prepared for anything.

The team has prepared some new products for this weekend, so the challenge is to run the podium cleanly and earn as many points as possible.”
