Alfa Romeo racer Valtteri Bottas visited the US state of Vermont and visited the Whistlepig farm in Shoreham, which produces WhistlePig premium rye whiskey. Knowing a lot about this kind of fun, the Finnish racer learned with interest the technological secrets of this distillery and practiced making cocktails based on WhistlePig bourbon.
This brand is the official partner of the Alfa Romeo team and when the founders of the company started their project in 2007, they set themselves a very ambitious goal: to make the best rye whiskey in the world.
While visiting the farm, Valtteri saw all the stages of making this drink, from the harvest of rye to the distillation process. The Finnish racer even gained experience driving farm machinery, after which he, together with local experts, visited the distillery itself, where WhistlePig whiskey is produced.
Valtteri Bottas: “I want to thank WhistlePig for inviting me to their Vermont farm. I was very interested in learning about the production of rye whiskey and I enjoyed making cocktails according to my own recipes!
This is an opportunity to get to know a partner of our team with whom we share the same ideals – high quality standards and constant pursuit of innovation. We are now looking forward to another visit from WhistlePig to one of the upcoming races.”
