Sebastian Vettel set the fourth fastest time in the second practice of the Canadian Grand Prix, just over three tenths behind leader Max Verstappen. The Aston Martin driver praised the car’s speed, but doesn’t expect to repeat the same high result in qualifying. His partner Lance Stroll finished the training with the twelfth result.
Sebastian Vettel (4th): “I’m happy with the pace of the car and the fact that we were able to finish practice before it started to rain. I was able to find the rhythm and the right settings, which is great. When we talk about qualifications, we have to be realistic – let’s see what result can be achieved. All in all a good day.
According to the forecast, training on Saturday will be rainy, but it should be dry for qualifying. On the other hand, the prognosis often does not match reality.”
Lance Walk (12th): “I am satisfied with the work done, although I was hindered by traffic on the last attempt in the second session. Overall, we managed to make some good progress after doing the necessary work for the rest of the weekend. Let’s see what the weather will be like on Saturday.”
