The Italian press reports that a major upgrade of the SF-23 is being prepared at the Ferrari base in Maranello.
According to Formu1a.uno we are talking about a new underbody, front wing and rear brake ducts. The team plans to hold a preliminary new product break-in at their circuit in Fiorano next Tuesday.
These new items are expected to be installed on the cars of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, which will be held from July 7-9. The Scuderia does not want to update in Austria, as this is a sprint stage and the team has only one hour of training on Friday to evaluate them.
Rivals Ferrari of Mercedes and Aston Martin presented remarkable innovations during the stages in Monaco and Montreal respectively. Updates at Silverstone will in fact be the Italian team’s answer to their direct competitors.
