Red Bull is considering who can replace Perez

Helmut Marko has hinted that at the upcoming Pirelli tire test at Silverstone they will be taking a close look at Daniel Ricciardo to see what the Aussie is capable of.

Motorsport adviser Red Bull did not elaborate on his idea, but the press saw in his words a hint that Riccardo could replace Sergio Perez in the team. Moreover, Daniel himself, who is mainly working on the simulator this year, does not hide the fact that he wants to play for Red Bull Racing again.

“After Silverstone, Ricciardo will drive our car for three days in tests organized by Pirelli. And then we can judge what he is really capable of,” the British newspaper Express quotes Marco as saying.

In addition, the 80-year-old Austrian also had something to say about Perez’s prospects: “He has been playing for us longer than originally planned anyway. We just have to think about who will replace him and explore all options.”

In three stages in a row, Perez for some reason could not get into the final of qualifying, which, of course, affected the results of the races. And now Max Verstappen leads the championship with a lead of 69 points and is probably not afraid that his partner can seriously compete with him, although the Mexican takes the second line of the personal classification.
