In Formula 1, they decided to ask the championship drivers some funny questions to test their sincerity and discover some character traits that are normally hidden from the fans, and the picture turned out to be quite entertaining.
For example, how did the survey participants react when they had to admit that they had once played a prank on one of the team members?
Nico Hulkenberg: Of course it happened. It’s part of the fun!
Sergio Perez: Yes, I usually like to make fun of my colleagues, but they play me too!
Lando Norris: Yes, and they certainly remembered!
Alex Albon: I once fooled and convinced my Japanese partner that understeer was oversteer. And vice versa. And he had this notebook, like a dictionary, where he wrote everything down. All in all, he was very confused.
And when I explained everything to him, he was delighted and very grateful! In fact, he wasn’t a very good racer and could lose his job because of me, so I had to stop making jokes like that! (laughs)
But we still talk, he’s a good guy.
Fernando Alonso: I think it happened several times. With Pedro de la Rosa. But I won’t go into details.
Esteban Okon: No never. But they laughed at me, it happened. I’ll give an example. Before you take a seat in the cockpit of the car, you must take off your regular shoes, because your feet will not fit in them. And then when I got out of the cockpit, I saw that my shoes were glued to the ceiling!
It was a good joke, but one day I’ll pay for it! (laughs)
Oscar Pistri: I’m still new to the team so I don’t want to make enemies, so for now I’m not doing anything like that, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be doing it in the future!
Lance walk: I haven’t really fooled anyone, but you’ve given me ideas!
George Russell: Of course I played it, but I’m afraid to tell about some of these jokes because I’m still ashamed of them.
Max Verstappen: Actually, it’s not mine, I don’t.
Charles Leclerc: It used to be that way. Especially in the years of karting we did all sorts of crazy things! But sharing this with everyone may not be worth it. Well, for example when I once woke up my partner with a fire extinguisher. (laughs) Of course it was a cruel joke! The only excuse is that we were very young, I was 13 or 14 years old at the time.
Another question asked to the riders was: Have they ever cried while watching a movie?
Nick DeVries: Yes, and more than once! I cry all the time in the cinema!
Lando Norris: It was a cry.
Kevin Magnussen: Many times.
George Russell: Of course that has happened a few times. I can’t say how many times, but it happened.
Charles Leclerc: Never.
Fernando Alonso: Maybe in childhood. But I don’t remember.
Esteban Okon: No.
Yuki Tsunoda: No, I do not think so.
Logan Sargent: I’m ready to admit, I cried.
Pierre Gasly: Yes.
Lando Norris: Yes. About the movie “TV presenter”. Not that he was crying, but one tear seemed to roll down his cheek.
Nico Hulkenberg: Cried, cried. In the movie Marley and Me. It has such a heartbreaking ending!
Lance walk: I’m thinking of the movie “Marley and Me”.
Pierre Gasley: When I was little, I burst into tears at the movie “King Kong”.
Logan Sargent: But there are some sad movies!
Oscar Pistri: It probably wasn’t worth crying in some movies, but then I was quite small. Children’s movies are usually catchy…
Carlos Sainz: Just a little. There was one movie about how a dog becomes a zombie and that’s why he had to be strangled. I then thought of my dog and burst into tears…
