Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc will be penalized 10 places at the start of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix.
The Monegasque racing driver will be fined for exceeding the limit of use of the electronic control unit (ECU). According to the rules, it is allowed to use no more than two ECUs on a car during the season, and Charles’ car has already installed the 3rd for the season.
At the same time, it was not excluded that the turbine would also be replaced on the Leclerc car, which would mean the loss of 10 other positions. However, it was decided to refuse this.
Leclerc is third in the driver standings this season.
