Haas F1 is partnered with the American International School of Jeddah (AISJ), which, as the name suggests, is based in Saudi Arabia, the same city where Formula 1 races take place.
The US team will work with science, technology, engineering and math students to help them master all these disciplines, but most importantly to instill in them a genuine interest in the technical side of motorsport.
Several women (including Saudi Arabian) who hold various technical positions in Haas F1 have already held the first remote meeting with a group of AISJ students aged 14 to 17, telling them about how they got into motorsport, how they could prepare for this, how they got the job in the team and what exactly they do.
The first business contacts between Haas F1 and AISJ took place at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in March, but now this partnership is reaching a new level.
Gunter SteinerTeam leader: “For various reasons, there are not many women in the engineering profession, but we believe that our team can be of great help to future engineers in their studies.
Judging by the feedback of our specialists after their first visit to AISJ, the students of the school are surprisingly well prepared, and above all, the curiosity of the students who want to understand how to start a career in motorsports was most pleasing. this was the catalyst that started this collaboration.
The goal of our partnership with AISJ is to give students a long-term development program and really open their eyes to the opportunities ahead.”
