The British High-Tech team has announced that it will apply to compete in Formula 1 from 2026.
In recent seasons, Hi-Tech has competed in Formula 2 and Formula 3. Previously, a majority stake was owned by Dmitry Mazepin and included a Russian, former Formula 1 driver Nikita Mazepin . A 25% stake in the Hi-Tech team was acquired by Kazakh businessman Vladimir Kim.
“After 20 months of careful planning and preparation at the Silverstone base, the company has applied to compete in the Formula 1 championship from the 2026 season. We have the right people, resources and experience to compete with the best teams in the world,” the statement read.
