Nico Hulkenberg believes every little thing will make a difference on the short Austrian circuit…
Question: What conclusions have you drawn from the results of the sprint in Baku, what approach will you take this weekend?
Nico Hulkenberg: The sprint weekend from the first practice is very exciting. In Austria a completely different route than in Baku, stationary and very short. But the approach remains the same: act professionally and strive for a good result.
Q: Your best result at the Red Bull Ring is sixth in 2015. What do you like about this track?
Nico Hulkenberg: I really like the scenic nature, mountain scenery. It’s one of the shortest, if not the shortest circuit we’ve driven – just over a minute per lap – but it’s technical and challenging.
Q: The Red Bull Ring has just 10 turns, the fewest on the Formula 1 calendar. Given the density of mid-group battles, what results do you expect from VF-23?
Nico Hulkenberg: The round in Spielberg is very short, the results are traditionally tight. In such circumstances, every little thing matters, so it’s important to get the most out of each session.
