Aston Martin drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll spoke about the goals the team needs to achieve at the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix.
Fernando Alonso: “It was great to be back on the podium in Canada. The novelties that we have prepared have worked and now in Austria we will continue to optimize the settings.
Austria has a fast and short lap with overtaking opportunities. You need to be careful and try not to go into safety zones, so as not to damage the car on high curbs.
The aim is to maintain the current form and earn as many points as possible to bring the team back to second place in the Constructors’ Championship.”
Lance walk: “I am excited to be racing four races in Europe in the coming months on very different circuits. Red Bull Ring is a tricky but compact track, which consists of two parts. The first contains three straight DRSs and the second a series of fast corners, so it’s fun to race here.
This weekend is in sprint form, so we only have one Friday practice to set up the car and prepare for Friday qualifying. Saturday’s sprint will be another element to keep in mind over the weekend as we try to get as many points as possible.”
