Williams has not had a technical director since mid-December last year following the resignation of François-Xavier Demaison. The head of the British team, James Vowles, made it clear that a replacement for Demaison has already been found, and Williams will soon make a corresponding statement and introduce its new technical director.
James Vowles: “I can say the following about the candidacy of technical director. From the moment I joined the team, my job has been to build the right technical structure that will allow us to move forward and develop.
By the end of the year you will see how the internal structure of the team will change with the support of specialists brought in from outside. At the moment, however, I cannot give more details, because a very crucial moment has arrived.
In fact, the news will be very soon, but not today.
