Magnussen: We are beginning to understand the reasons for the difficulties

Kevin Magnussen remains optimistic and hopes that the Haas F1 team can gradually solve the problems and perform in Austria as in previous years.

Kevin Magnussen: “I think we are already starting to understand what the problems with the car are, but this is a process and you have to understand everything first and then move on and find an effective solution.

It probably won’t be possible to correct the shortcomings of the FW-23 any time soon, although in qualifying in one fast lap the car behaves more or less as we expect. But in the race its weaknesses are manifested, first of all they are associated with too rapid wear of rubber. Although we are doing relatively well in terms of pure speed.

Let’s hope that we can show a reasonably high result in Austria, because this has already happened in the past. For some reason we usually do well at this track – for several seasons it was our best race of the year!

Let’s hope that will be the case this time, although this hope is not based on a real understanding of the reasons for the vehicle’s ambiguous behavior, but overall the team is in a combative mood.
