Verstappen: We did well, I’m happy

Max Verstappen confidently won the sprint qualifying, the so-called shootout, and will start from pole in the short race on Saturday. Moreover, he was almost half a second ahead of his partner, Sergio Perez – and that within a short circle of the Red Bull Ring!

Max Verstappen: “Everything went well, the asphalt gradually dried up and we drove faster with each lap, but it was important to choose the right moments to get out on track.

Of course today in every part of this qualifying it was possible to do only a few laps, but we did a good job, the car worked well, the balance was perfect and of course I am happy with the result.

It seems that today the balance of power has changed compared to yesterday, but I don’t know what this has to do with. The track is not completely dry yet, but the most important thing is that we have a fast car. Let’s see how she will show herself in the sprint distance.

Staying inside the track is very difficult because in qualifying we try to use the whole width of it, so in qualifying the difficulties are the greatest. But I think because of this and during the race it will be difficult for everyone.
