The Red Bull Ring will host Formula 1 for at least the next seven years – the parties have announced a contract extension until 2030.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1: “I am delighted to announce this news together with our Austrian partners. The vision and passion of Dietrich Mateschitz, who loved this sport, made the return of this stage possible. We pay tribute to him and confirm that we will race in this incredible place until 2030.
Racing in Austria is very popular with the drivers and all our fans, many years of exciting events ahead.”
The Austrian Grand Prix first appeared on the calendar in 1970 and was held at the Österreichring. After the 1987 race, the stage was canceled for safety reasons and has been held in Spielberg since 1997.
