The stewards of the Austrian Grand Prix “Formula 1” satisfied the protest of the team “Aston Martin” on the preliminary results of the race, according to to place International Automobile Federation (FIA).
Aston Martin said in a complaint that some drivers had not been fined for possible track limit violations. According to the media, eight riders were punished with fines.
– Examination of the list of deleted lap times revealed other overruns of course limits which were not referred to the marshals for possible penalties. Some of these violations turned out to result in penalties that were not added until the preliminary results were released. These fines will be reflected in the final classification, the text of the decision specifies.
The FIA is investigating more than 1,200 incidents as part of its post-race review.
The winner of the Austrian Grand Prix was Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, who cemented his leadership in the championship.
