Athletistic / Formula 1 Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has avoided a grid fine at the Canadian Grand Prix due to the replacement of power plant components, according to the official website of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), which has a list of new parts that will be available to drivers in Montreal.

Ferrari replaced the internal combustion engine, MGU-H and MGU-K modules, but not the turbine. Thus, Leclerc remained within the limit of three elements per season.

In addition to Leclerc, other drivers received new elements: Esteban Okon (Alpin), Kevin Magnussen (Haas) and Yuki Tsunoda (Alpha Tauri). It is reported that the Japanese will be fined due to the fact that he exceeded the limit of internal combustion engines, turbine, MGU-H and MGU-K. He will start from the end of the starting grid.

Recall that earlier there was information that after a breakdown at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the internal combustion engine and the turbine of Leclerc’s car could not be restored. They were damaged as a result of a broken cylinder block.
