Mexican driver “Red Bull” Sergio Perez crashed into a wall during the second qualifying segment and was unable to continue the session.
When passing one of the straights of Perez’s car, the right wheel jammed, as a result of which the driver lost the ability to turn and crashed into a soft wall. He couldn’t reverse and left the car.
The rider ended his qualifying run on this, failing to break through in his third segment.
The heats are interrupted by red flags and the qualifying time stops.
Perez is second overall, 21 points behind Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen.
