Stroll: We need to give back second place in the Constructors’ Championship

Aston Martin is just three points behind Mercedes in the battle for second place in the Constructors’ Championship. On the home stage at Silverstone, the team’s riders expect to stay ahead of their main rivals.

Fernando Alonso: “We have just returned from Austria, where the team earned a lot of points after a difficult weekend, which took place in variable weather conditions and in a sprint format.

Now all our attention is on the home race at Silverstone. It’s always great to race on this historic track.

This week I visited the team’s new base – every time I go there I understand that this is an impressive and great place to work. The new base is a real signal of the team’s plans for the future. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve for British fans this weekend.”

Lance walk: “We are very lucky that the race at Silverstone is the team’s home base. It’s an incredibly classic track that we all love to race on. Most of the circle is driven to the ground with the throttle, so this is a full-fledged motorcycle track. The combination of Maggots, Becketts, Chapel curves is one of the best on the calendar and will be interesting to drive through in a modern car.

This weekend we need to revive the momentum in Austria and regain second place in the Constructors’ Championship. I know the team will continue to work hard for this and the fans will provide extra motivation.”
