Aston Martin F1 celebrates its official housewarming today – the doors of the team’s new base in Sylveston have opened and a new chapter in its history begins.

Construction of the base continues, but now the first phase has been completed and the main building, where the team’s headquarters is located, is in use. The construction of a new wind tunnel is in full swing and in the future a new building will appear on the site of the old base, where the Jordan team has been located since 1992.

The total area of ​​​​the building where the housewarming party took place is 37 thousand square meters. meters it will accommodate more than 700 team members working in the technical department, the production site and the commercial department. The building was built in 24 months and fully equipped with all necessary equipment.

In commemoration of today’s event, Lance Stroll drove a Formula 1 car through the new base, called the Aston Martin Racing Technology Campus, to the applause of his colleagues.

Lawrence Walk, chairman of the board of directors of the team: “Our new Technology Campus has been built for all our employees, taking into account all their needs. It will make it possible to make the processes of creating and driving Formula 1 cars that can win races more efficient, moreover, none of the teams in the championship have had a basis in which all environmental aspects have been so well thought out.
