Bottas brought a very British helmet to Silverstone

Valtteri Bottas continues a tradition that has been very well received by the fans: for almost every stage of the season he prepares an original helmet designed by Tiffany Cromwell, his Australian girlfriend.

He presented another such helmet for the race at Silverstone, and this was preceded by a fan vote, with the majority supporting the idea that traditional British motifs dominated the helmet’s design.

That happened, so the new Valtteri helmet is firstly made in the same blue-red-white colors as the colors of the British flag, and secondly it is distinguished by numerous details, somehow associated with it United Kingdom , its traditions, history and culture.

It is impossible to list everything, but these are red double-decker buses, and English tea, and Big Ben, and the recognizable logo of the London Underground, and much more.

“The helmet is very British,” said Valtteri. “As you can see it says ‘Keep calm and let’s start racing’.” Of course, there is also the flag of the United Kingdom and many different details that symbolize the United Kingdom. The colors are matte, I think it suits this helmet quite well. I think everything looks great!”

The Finn also drew general attention to the words on the back of the helmet – Have a nice day! In the context of the phrase he mentioned earlier, this could be interpreted as, “Great day for racing!”
