Nine teams presented some technical innovations at Silverstone, and only Ferrari cars remained the same as in the previous stage in Austria.
Red Bull races
Red Bull has benefited from the moderate load on the brakes on the British circuit, so the front brake ducts on the RB19 are slightly smaller.
Mercedes
The front fenders on the Mercedes cars have been redesigned with new end plates, which the team expects will allow them to interact more effectively with the airflow across a wider range of car positions on the track.
The wing surfaces were also slightly modernized to optimally guide the flow past the car when passing fast corners.
Alps F1
The main plane of the redesigned front wing should work better in low-speed corners, while the effectiveness of the wing on high-speed sections of the track has not deteriorated.
McLaren
The second stage of the car’s modernization coincided with the British leg of the season. The MCL60 has a new nose fairing and front wing, including end plates, the rear brake air ducts have been changed, as well as a connecting rod fairing responsible for adjusting the toe of the rear wheel.
Alfa Romeo
The C43 has undergone a number of improvements to improve the car’s behavior in slow corners. In particular, the geometry of the lower part of the bottom, the edges and the diffuser have been changed. The shape of the air ducts for the rear brakes and rear suspension fairings has also been changed for optimal interaction with the improved underbody.
Aston Martin
The geometry of the front wing plane has been slightly changed, which has been done to improve aerodynamic balance particularly with regard to the UK route. Taking into account that in Silverstone the load on the brakes is not the highest, the elements of the cooling system of the rear brake disc have become different.
Haas F1
The front of the Venturi tunnels on the underside of the VF-23 have been redesigned as part of an upgrade package that also includes upgraded front suspension to direct airflow.
The lower element of the additional rear wing has also been changed.
AlphaTauri
The AT03 has received a host of upgrades, mainly aimed at eliminating the lack of chassis efficiency during slow cornering.
Changed the geometry of the bottom, the edges and the diffuser. The engine compartment shroud in the rear section, also known as the “Coca-Cola bottle”, has become wider, which is done to improve the efficiency of the aerodynamics of the rear of the car,
The rear wing has also been redesigned, in particular it has become wider in the center section area and slightly narrower towards the edges.
Willems
Specially for the podium at Silverstone, the FW45 car was fitted with front and rear fenders designed to reduce drag.
