Alex Albon and Nicholas Latifi set an eighteenth and nineteenth fastest time in the second practice session of the Canadian Grand Prix. Williams drivers noted the car’s lack of speed, but expressed hope they can add that on Saturday.
Alex Albon (18th): “Not a bad day for us actually – we did well and we have the opportunity to improve. I think we went in the wrong direction in the second training session, but the team gathered enough information to find the optimal settings for both machines. Let’s see what will happen.”
Nicholas Latific (19th): “The first day went without any problems. I experienced an indescribable feeling, started the weekend at home and went to the track in front of my fans. I felt a lot of support during the preparation for the stage, and now I feel it over the weekend.
When we talk about the track, it’s difficult because of the lack of pace. The car lacks speed and we need to get more out of it. In the evening we continue to work on adding on Sunday.
