I was unconscious for a long time. My son Paul and his wife were also at the wedding, but they lived on a different floor. I don’t know how I got to Paul’s room, but I had to be conscious to get to him. They put me in an ambulance, but I don’t remember that either. His Majesty has invited the best doctors for me.

I wanted to get home as soon as possible, and the Crown Prince of Bahrain arranged for his plane to take me back to Europe. By that time I was already doing well, although I could hardly walk.

Now I am undergoing physiotherapy and I walk almost perfectly. Everything is going well – I’m coming to Silverstone for two days this weekend.”
