There have always been people in the motor racing community who have been endowed by nature with not only a talent for speed, but also a talent for music.
’80s star Elio de Angelis was a great pianist, Jordan founder Eddie Jordan still loves drumsticks, 1996 world champion Damon Hill took the stage with a guitar at the ready more than once, and Jacques Villeneuve, who played the title, followed after him, he released an album in 2007, on which mainly songs were composed by him.
Among the best racers of modern Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are engaged in musical creativity. And literally just a colleague of the Monegask at Ferrari, the Russian racer Robert Schwartzman, released his debut single.
The artist behind the pseudonym Shwartzy works in the genres Apple Music defines as hip-hop/rap, and the track Active sounds really good.
On his social media pages, Robert also shared a short video filmed in the studio while working on the song, accompanied by a message to the fans: “Active has been released! Thank you so much to everyone who helped and supported me! Let me know what you think.”
We think it’s a good start and we can only wish Schwartzy the best in the music scene and Robert Schwartzman on the track.
Perhaps one can quote the comment of one of those who have already come to appreciate the talents of the Ferrari reserve racer: “I imagine Robert Schwartzman could record a song with Charles Leclerc.”
