Renault/Alpine Chief Engineer Bruno Famin has been named Vice President of Alpine Motorsport and has joined the Alpine Steering Committee, which is chaired by CEO Laurent Rossi. In his new role, Famen will be responsible for all of Alpine’s motorsport activities.
Bruno Famin will oversee all Alpine teams from Formula 1 to endurance racing, rally raids and customer events. In addition, he will lead the Alpine Racing Academy, which is responsible for working with young promising racers.
At the same time, Famin will retain his current position as general manager of the Alpine Racing engine factory in Viry-Châtillon, France, which supplies engines to several racing series, including the Formula 1 team.
The leaders of all racing teams under the Alpine brand report directly to Bruno Famin. In fact, the head of the Formula 1 team, Otmar Szafnauer, will now report on the work done to Famen, and not directly to Laurent Rossi, as was the case until today.
