Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher is confident that the decision to terminate Nick de Vries’ contract has already been made – and someone else will partner Yuki Tsunoda after the summer break.
Last year, after a successful Italian Grand Prix with Williams, where he replaced Alex Albon and earned points, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko offered de Vries a contract with AlphaTauri, but he was mistaken – the Formula 2 and electric Formula E- champion did not enter Formula 1, and the car turned out to be downright weak.
Marco spoke several times about his dissatisfaction with the performance of the Dutchman – Ralph thinks his days in the team are numbered.
Ralf Schumacher: “The decision about de Vries has already been made, I’m sure of that. It will probably be a shame for him not to perform on the home stage in Zandvoort, but I think Nick will no longer be behind the wheel after the summer break.
