Alfa Romeo driver Guanyu Zhou has become a global ambassador for Special Olympics, an international organization that organizes sporting events for people with intellectual disabilities.
During the race weekend at Silverstone, Zhou met British Special Olympics athletes and gave them a tour of the team’s paddock and pits.
Guanyu Zhou: “I am honored to be the global ambassador for Special Olympics. I recently had the opportunity to meet and interact with several athletes from around the world. Their passion for the sport, the kindness and warmth with which they treat rivals in the Special Olympics family are inspiring.
Everyone deserves the right to express themselves and fulfill their potential. I am delighted to be part of such an amazing sporting and inclusive movement.”
