Red Bull driver Max Verstappen commented on his victory at the Canadian Grand Prix.
“I think Ferrari was too fast and it would be difficult to close the gap even with fresh tyres. I gave it my all, and so did Carlos Sainz. He attacked. The last laps were a lot of fun. I knew it would be more difficult to pass him. I would attack rather than defend, but in the end everything went well, said Verstappen.
Verstappen, after winning the Canadian Grand Prix, has strengthened his leadership in the general classification of Formula 1, he now has 175 points. Red Bull second driver Sergio Pérez, who is second in the standings, is 46 points behind Verstappen.
